( తమిళం నా మాతృ భాష కాదు, still I can understand bits here and there and I can read bill boards and headings due to some exposure. I give the lyrics in Telugu script for the benefit of Telugu singers. I have listened to this song many times. Particularly I liked the versions rendered by Maharajapuram Santanam and Priya sisters. One or two mistakes might have crept in - and this is due to the slight difference between the spoken and written versions. At a recent dance program this song was featured and immediately I got attracted to it due to its profound meaning. It contains Sanskrit and Tamil stanzas, and of course true professionals do take extreme care in pronouncing the Sanskrit words faithfully. All such songs on the divine Mother are filled with phrases from 'Lalita Sahasranamam' (for example, see the compositions of GNB). These songs have extraordinary power when they are sung, read, or studied; they soothe a bruised heart and calm the frayed nerves. Meaning is given on the Internet. I bow humbly before the composer, Sri Agasthya.)

ReplyDeleteT. Prabhakar,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. I am not qualified to answer your query about Sri Agasthya rishi. Such difficult questions are handled by eminent scholars like Sri Paramacharya (of Kanchi Kamakoti). But it is a thought provoking enquiry.
Really thankful to you.I like tamil language being mother language Telugu it's difficult to sing .. thanks once again to unknown
ReplyDeletePlease anyone send to me sri padapinka pani gaari notation
ReplyDeleteTo Unknown,
ReplyDeleteHere is the link for notation on this song: https://www.karnatik.com/c1101.shtml
I am not much into music theory and notation. Fortunately (due to my mother's blessing) I can learn to sing without notation. Just by the ear. Good luck to you. If I come across Sripada Pinakapani's notation anywhere, I will give a reference or post it here. Obviously for this song, the tune (melody) is different for different stanzas.
Thanks for the telugu lyrics ji
ReplyDeleteCouldn't find notation any where.
Shall be glad ,if someone shares.
Thank you
sushma, Thanks for your comment. I will try to talk with professional musicians about the notation. When I have the correct information, definitely I'll share with readers here.
ReplyDeleteThank you pattriji
ReplyDeleteUnknown,
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated.
The English transliteration was generated by Lekhini. Usually people well versed in both languages can make out without any faults by just looking at the transliteration. Still errors may creep if one is not careful.
